Samsung Galaxy Fitness is an affordable fitness tracker that’s currently available on select US carriers.
You can find it on select Samsung phones and tablets for $199 or less.
It works by recording your steps and running your heart rate over a series of heart-rate monitors to calculate your fitness level.
Samsung’s fitness trackers don’t require you to wear a watch, but Samsung’s new Fit band works with most fitness bands on the market.
You’ll get notifications when you get a new step, heart rate, and activity score and can also download and update your own workout app.
Fit is one of the few devices that can connect to the internet, meaning it’s smart enough to send data to a smartphone or tablet through Wi-Fi, which is more convenient than a traditional fitness tracker.
The Fit band supports Android Wear 2.0 and will work with Samsung’s Samsung SmartBand app for smartwatches.
The band has a 4-inch screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 512MB of RAM.
It can also connect to an internet-connected computer via Bluetooth 4.1.
Fit works on both Android and iOS, and it has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Fit comes with an optional Bluetooth 4+ wireless charging cable, which you can use for a few hours after you’ve removed it.
The Samsung Galaxy Sport Fit will be available later this month on select Verizon and AT&T phones, but we’ve not seen a release date yet.
The new Fit will also be available for $99.99, but it doesn’t have a release window just yet.
